With the remembrance of the eclipse, our theme will be “Out of the Darkness — Into the Light”. As we just experienced a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event, let that remind us that within the darkness lies the promise of light — bringing hope to Keep Texas Red and to Make America Great Again by voting in the 2024 Elections.
Louis Buller Gohmert, Jr., a distinguished attorney, former judge, and former U.S. Representative for Texas’ 1st congressional district — serving in the U.S. House with unwavering commitment from 2005-2023 — has dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service, leaving an indelible mark on the American political landscape.
Gohmert’s career in politics was marked by fervent dedication to the principles of the Republican Party. His conservative values and principled stances on various issues resonated with constituents in his East Texas district. Throughout his tenure in Congress, Gohmert consistently championed limited government, individual freedoms, and a strict adherence to the Constitution.
Notably, Gohmert was an influential figure in the Tea Paty movement, a grassroots political movement that emerged in the late 2000’s. He aligned himself with like-minded individuals who sought to promote fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and reduce government intervention in the lives of American citizens. .Gohmert’s involvement in the Tea Party movement solidified his reputation as a staunch advocate for conservative ideals and earned him the respect of many within his party.
Prior to his political career, Louie Gohmert served as a judge in the state of Texas. His experience on the bench provided him with a unique perspective on the legal system, which he later brought to his legislative work. Gohmert’s legal background enhanced his approach to crafting and supporting legislation that upheld the rule of law and protected rights of American citizens.
Throughout his years in Congress, Gohmert engaged in spirited debates, introduced and supported legislation reflecting his conservative principles, and tirelessly represented the interests of his constituents. His dedication to his district and the American people was unwavering, and his passion for serving his country was evident in his every action.
Today, Louie Gohmert’s legacy endures as a testament to his commitment to conservative values, limited government, and the individual liberties. His contributions to the political arena continue to shape the discourse and direction of the Republican Party, leaving an indelible mark on the nation’s political landscape.
Brian Harrison, Texas State Representative HD10, a passionate and effective advocate for limited government and individual liberty, won a special election September 28, 2021, for his district seat, which covers Ellis County and western Henderson County. His father, Ed Harrison, ran for Congress in the 1990’s to unseat longtime Democrat Martin Frost. As a child, Brian campaigned alongside his father to give voice to conservative, Christian ideals, that values our faith, Constitution, and American exceptionalism. Brian believes small business is the engine of the American economy. He worked with his family’s homebuilding business, Harrison Homes, and operated a small business from their home in Ellis County, until he was recruited to work for President Trump’s administration in 2016.
During the Trump Administration, Brian served as the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the largest government agency in the world with a budget of over $1.4 trillion. Under his leadership, HHS protected the unborn, increased private health insurance options, advanced government policies that decreased costs, increased transparency and accountability, inserted free market forces into the healthcare sector, and responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. He successfully led historic deregulatory efforts such as sunsetting almost 20,000 regulations, ending unfair taxes, eliminating harmful programs, instituting a taxpayer accountability board, and creating term limits for senior career officials — actions projected to save billions of dollars. He has held positions at other federal agencies during George W. Bush administration.
As State Representative, Brian Harrison successfully led the fight against COVID vaccine mandates, ended Texas taxpayer funding of the Marxist-led American Library Association, expanded educational opportunities in Ellis County, and spearheaded coalitions to fight unconstitutional federal overreach.
