SUMMARY:Last Day to File for Precinct Chair prior to Suspension for the 2022 Primary Election
DESCRIPTION:Although re-districting maps have been approved and signed Tuesday October 25 by the Governor\, specific precinct lines have not been drawn.  The County Commissioners will have until December 31\, 2021 to approve precinct boundaries.  Senate Bill SB13 states that Precinct Chair filing will be temporarily suspended at 11:59 pm on the Wednesday evening of December 1. \nThe Texas Secretary of State Advisory ADV2021-22 announced the second Precinct Chair filing period to be held Saturday January 15 thru 6:00pm Saturday February 12\, 2022.  The Precinct Chair election will be held Tuesday May 24\, 2022\, the same date as the Primary Run-off Election.
